As of yesterday, The Darkness II's playable demo has been officially released on XBOX 360, PS3, and PC (via Steam). Download it to get a feel for the new game mechanics and storyline. Also, as was suspected (and confirmed last month via various sources), Jackie's voice actor is no longer Kirk Acevedo, but instead is now played by Brian Bloom (TV Actor, Kane of Kane & Lynch, Varric Tethras of Dragon Age 2, etc.). He seems alright, though I myself (an avid  Dragon Age fan) can't get Varric out of my head when I hear him. Lol... Anyway, we'll see how he turns out. So... download it now and post your thoughts! :)
So it's official. Artifacts (1-13) has finally been tied up and the latest issue of Witchblade (151) has been out for over a week now. With an all new creative team on board, as well as a HUGE twist in the direction of the book, there's plenty to talk about. So, with all that in mind, what are your thoughts? Accolades, comments, complaints, concerns? Post them! :)

Next up... look forward to the "reboot" of The Darkness with issue 101 coming in the next few months!
Just a heads up, all you Top Cow fans...

With the realease of The Darkness II coming very soon (February 7th), news has just been released in regards to a new multiplayer mode called Vendettas. It will star four characters exclusive to the game universe that have been granted portions of Jackie's Darkness power in order to rain havoc upon his enemies. This story-driven mode will run in conjunction with the single player story mode and provide insight into what happens during certain moments in the single player campaign. This mode will be a drop-in multiplayer story mode with up to 4 players at any given time to help you progress. Also, the game may be played offline as a single player story mode should you wish to. Vendettas has been described as having "dark comedy" elements (in contrast to the more serious tone of Jackie's single player story mode) and each of the four characters has a different background and story to tell. The characters are as follows:
  • Inugami, The Hound, with his cursed demon sword, Kusanagi
  • Shoshanna, the Israeli Special Forces agent, with her magic gun, The Arm of the Night
  • Jimmy Wilson, the stereotypical Scotsman, with his Darkness infused hand axe
  • Dr. JP Dumond, the voodoo witch doctor, with his staff, The Midnight Stick

Each character will be allowed to upgrade with branching abilities as you progress through the campaign. You can view the trailer as well as various interviews on GameSpot's website, here: www.gamespot.com/the-darkness-…
Some of you may (or may not) have heard that pre-ordering The Darkness II will earn you a free upgrade to the limited edition! Even better than that, it looks as though this is a bonus for all retail outlets, which means you can purchase through your favorite store. The limited edition will include the following:

• Custom artwork illustrated by Marc Silvestri
• Free digital download of The Darkness Origins Vol. 1 & 2 comics
• Alternate in-game darkling outfit: "Crazy Abdul"
• Two in-game ability Upgrades: "Gourmet Hearts" & "Relic Hunter"

Now the question is, what ever happened to the Witchblade movie? :P
